According to Chargers insider Daniel Popper and the team, the Bolts have waived their former 2021 draft pick, running back Larry Rountree.

Rountree was selected by Los Angeles in the 6th round with the 198th pick from Missouri.

He played two seasons in Los Angeles but never got the opportunity to shine.

Rountree played in only 16 games, where he had 49 rush attempts, 106 yards, one touchdown, and 2.2 rushing yards per attempt.

On the other hand, Rountree was not impressive as he carried the ball five times for nine yards,

while the other running backs made the most of their opportunity.

The spot for running back two is now down to three, and we'll see how that battle goes in the remainder of the preseason.

We thank Rountree for all he's done in the powder blue uniform and wish him the best in his next journey.
